Check out Facebook’s nonprofit resource page

Facebook has a new resource for non-profits, aimed at helping them get started and improving their effectiveness at social media.

Read Mashable’s description and check out the new learning center, here.  Remember, if you “like” it, you’ll get a steady stream of tips right on your own news feed.

FB itself says, “This Page is a resource for non-profits and other organizations for social good. We built it to help you harness the power of Facebook and bring positive change to the world. Facebook empowers non-profits by enabling them to mobilize communities, organize events, increase fundraising, reduce costs with free online tools, and raise awareness through viral networks.”

On the FB non-profit page, click on “Resources” (at left) and check out the Downloads – including the non-profits guide.  It’s basically a GREAT starters manual.  Yay, Facebook!
